This J/B was found in a very sorry state. It had already been extensively customised (at one point it had been fitted with gullwing doors and a big american V8. Its owner commissioned Burnham Autos – a leading custom shop in the UK – to restore, repair and modify. During this process it acquired V6 power in the form of a Ford Granada engine and an auto box. When finished, it was a rolling advert for its owner’s business and a daily-driven vehicle. As can be seen from the signwriting it has since changed hands, but it is still used regularly and rallied extensively, appearing at The Goodwood Revival, and at the NEC Classic Motor Show on the Register’s stand.
